living in NJ (central eastern), any tips to catching stocked trout in a lake or pond?
I grew up fishing streams and learned to read the river for spots to fish, I want to bring kids (5 years old) to get them started, but I have not been sucessful to get them interested, any suggestions?,,,, the kids love snapper fishing laterin the year, and we started them on fluke last year from the boat)
Dont use corn most ponds dont allow it because it kills trout. Try berkley powerbait dough , spinners or nightcrawlers. Catching trout out of a stocked pond is fun and easy you should have no problem.
Its important with the kids to catch lots of fish to keep their interest. Bluegill fishing was always a favorite of mine to let the kids do .
Good Fishing to yall
